An R.E.P. is an organization approved by PMI® to issue Professional Development Units (PDU) for its training courses.
Courses offered by PMI Registered Education Providers (R.E.P.), PMI components — chapters, specific interest groups (SIGs), colleges — and PMI are pre-approved for Contact Hours in fulfillment of certification eligibility requirements, as well as PDUs to fulfill the Continuing Certification Requirements (CCR) for PMI credentials. The eligibility of Contact Hours/PDUs from other sources is the responsibility of certification candidates and will be determined on a case-by-case basis. The R.E.P. program has been designed to enhance the ongoing professional development of PMI’s members, those credentialed through PMI and others in the project management profession.

*All process names are now in a verb-noun format
*The processes decreased from 44 to 42:
*Two processes were deleted.
*Two processes were added.
*Six processes were reconfigured into 4 processes in the Procurement knowledge area.
*The distinction between the information in the Project Charter and the Project Scope Statement was clarified.
*The process flow diagrams at the beginning of chapters 4-12 have been deleted and replaced with data flow diagrams.
*A new appendix was added that addresses key interpersonal skills that a project manager utilizes when managing a project.
